July Art Meeting - a review

On 12 July a fruitful Circle of Art Workshop Week started in the Monastery of Viktorsberg. The participants were efficiently introduced or further educated in the fields of musical interpretation, composition, singing, acting, dancing, drawing, sculpting and writing.

Some examples:

Mana Samadzadeh, teenage musician and song writer, made a draft of her own musical project which was successfully performed at the end of the week.
Hans Russenberger, our Swiss sculptor, artist and arts teacher from Schaffhausen held an interesting workshop on stonemasonry in a renovated barn, which the Municipality of Viktorsberg generously placed at our disposal. It was a delightful experience for all the participants. Russenberger was working on an open metal ring, which then surprisingly turned out to be a "C" - the emblem of the Circle of Art!

The rhetoric workshop - an integral and important part of the Circle of Art's Meetings - was held by Hans-Udo Kreuels. In the working phase dramatic and lyrical texts were rehearsed with 9 participants. One key scene was from the play "Geschichten aus dem Wienerwald" by Ödon von Horváth. The piece was performed with great success during the final presentation.

Other workshops, such as anatomical and portrait drawing by Habib Samadzadeh, relaxation and breething technique with Firouzeh Navai, choir singing, etc. added to the July Culture Meeting and were complemented by many stimulating conversations between lecturers and students.

All in all it was an efficient, revitalizing Art Week brightening our horizons.
