Born in 1974 in London, the French composer and songwriter starts playing the piano at the age of seven. At 14 he devotes himself to jazz music and begins composing own pieces.
In 1989 he becomes the piano student of Gustavo Kerestesaki, an Astor Piazzolla pianist.
His Italian ballad "Vivo e sarai in me", part of an album he composed for the Sicilian singer Cheryl, comes up to the semi-finale at the 2005 San Remo competition. The same singer wins the Basilica competition in Calabria with Grangi?'s song "Ho capito sai".
The musician also sings himself. In 2009 he published his first solo album with French songs both as a composer and singer.
Louis Grangié currently lives and works in Sicily.
